The SLAM Mission Statement
The mission of the SLAM Airway Training Institute is:
- To maintain the public health and
well being through promotion of safe and effective airway
management techniques for victims of trauma, cardiac arrest and
other life threatening conditions.
- To assist the public and others
through programs of education and training.
- To encourage the highest
standards of airway management in personnel and equipment.
- To promote and encourage
cooperation among persons, organizations, entities or authorities
who are directly or indirectly responsible for and/or involved in
the provision of emergency airway management to the public.
- To provide information and
direction to individuals, organizations and governmental bodies on
matters pertaining to the effective provision of airway
management.
- To participate actively in the
future direction of emergency airway management by promoting and
encouraging education, life long learning and research.
